July 1, 2011

Dear Parents,

On behalf of the Board of Education, myself, and staff, welcome back to the 2011-2012 school year in the Bret Harte Union High School District!

The Board of Education and I are committed to providing a course of study that meets the needs of all of our students in a safe and secure learning environment while maintaining the co-curricular and extra-curricular activities that have established this District as an outstanding educational institution.

We realize that the state budget situation continues to present challenges and uncertainties.  We are continuing to monitor budget news and to control costs.  Our staff is examining operations to ensure that we are running as efficiently as possible while maintaining the district’s long tradition of providing an excellent education for our students.

Our Board of Education, certificated and classified staff members are here to provide a world class education and experience for your students.  Again, welcome to the 2011-2012 school year in the Bret Harte Union High School District!

Sincerely,

Michael S. Chimente

Superintendent
